And the word of the Lord came by the hand of Jehu son of Hanani to Baasha.

Because I exalted you from the earth and gave you to be ruler over my people Israel, and you walked in the way of Jeroboam and caused my people Israel to sin, to provoke me with their vain things

Behold, I am raising up after Baasa and behind his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat.

The one of Baasa who has died in the city the dogs shall devour, and the one of his who has died in the field the birds of the sky shall devour.

And the rest of the words of Baasa and all that he did and his acts of power, are they not behold, these things written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

And Baasa slept with his fathers and was buried in Thersa, and Ela his son reigned in his place in the twentieth year of king Asa.

And by the hand of Jehu son of Hanani the Lord spoke against Baasha and against his house all the evil that he did before the Lord, to provoke him by the works of his hands, to be like the house of Jeroboam, and because of striking him down.

And Elah son of Baasha reigned over Israel two years in Tirzah

And Zambri the commander of half the horse conspired against him, and he himself was in Thersa drinking and becoming drunk in the house of Osa the steward in Thersa.

And Zambri entered and struck him and put him to death and reigned in his place

And it happened, when he became king, when he sat on his throne, that he struck all the house of Baasa.

according to the word that the Lord spoke against the house of Baasha through Jehu the prophet

because of all the sins of Baasha and Elah his son, as he sinned Israel to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, by their vain things

And the rest of the words of Ela and all that he did, are they not behold, written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

And Zambri reigned seven days in Thersa, and the camp of Israel was against Gabathon, which belongs to the Philistines.

And the people in the camp heard, saying, Zimri has conspired and has struck the king, and they made Omri king, the commander of the army, over Israel in that day in the camp.

And Omri and all Israel with him went up from Gibbethon and they besieged Tirzah

And it came to pass, when Zambri saw that the city had been taken before him, that he entered into the inner room of the house of the king and burned the house of the king over himself with fire, and he died.

for his sins which he committed, to do evil before the Lord, to walk in the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and in his sins by which he caused Israel to sin

And the rest of the words of Zambri and his conspiracies which he conspired, behold, are not these written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

Then the people of Israel were divided; half the people followed Thamni son of Gonaath to make him king, and half the people followed Ambri.

And the people who were behind Amri prevailed over the people who were behind Thamni son of Gonaath, and Thamni died, and Ioram his brother, in that time, and Amri reigned after Thamni.

In the thirty-first year of King Asa, Amri reigned over Israel twelve years; in Thersa he reigned six years.

And Ambri acquired the mountain of Semeron from Semer, the lord of the mountain, for two talents of silver, and he built the mountain, and he called the name of the mountain which he built after the name of Semer, the lord of the mountain, Saemeron.

And Ambri did the evil in the sight of the Lord, and he acted more wickedly than all who had been before him.

And he walked in all the way of Jeroboam son of Nabat and in his sins which he caused Israel to sin, to provoke the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.

And the rest of the words of Omri and all that he did, and his might, behold, are not these written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

And Omri slept with his fathers, and he is buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigns in his place.

In the second year of Jehoshaphat, Ahab son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.

And Ahab did the evil in the sight of the Lord; he acted wickedly beyond all who were before him.

And it was not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and he took as wife Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and he went and served Baal and bowed down to him

And he set up an altar for Baal in the house of his abominations, which he built in Samaria.

And Ahab made a grove, and Ahab added to do provocations, to provoke his soul, so as to be destroyed; he did evil above all the kings of Israel who had been before him.

In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; with Abiram his firstborn he laid its foundation, and with Segub his younger he set up its gates, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke by the hand of Joshua son of Nun.
