Draw near, nations, and hear, rulers; let the earth hear and those in it, the inhabited world and the people in it
For the wrath of the Lord is upon all the nations, and anger upon their number, to destroy them and to give them over to slaughter
And their slain shall be thrown out, and the dead; and their stench shall rise, and the mountains shall be soaked with their blood
And the heaven shall roll up like a scroll, and all the stars shall fall like leaves from a vine and like leaves falling from a fig tree
My sword has been made drunk in heaven; behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of destruction with judgment.
The sword of the Lord has been filled with blood; it has grown fat from fat of lambs and from fat of goats and rams, for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bosor and a great slaughter in Idumea.
And the strong ones shall fall with them, and the rams and the bulls, and the land shall be drunk from their blood, and from their fatness it shall be filled.
For it is a day of the Lord’s judgment, and a year of recompense for the judgment of Zion.
And its ravines shall be turned into pitch, and its land into sulfur, and its land shall be burning like pitch
By night and by day it shall not be quenched forever; its smoke shall go up upward for generations; it shall be made desolate for a long time.
And birds and hedgehogs and ibises and ravens shall dwell in it, and the plumb line of desolation shall be stretched over it, and satyrs shall dwell in it
Its princes shall not be, for its kings and its princes and its nobles shall be for destruction
And thorny trees shall grow up in its cities, and into its fortresses; and it shall be a dwelling of sirens and a court of sparrows
And demons will meet with onocentaurs, and they will cry out, one to the other; there onocentaurs will rest, for they found rest for themselves
There the hedgehog nested and the earth saved its children in security; there deer met and saw the faces of one another
None of them missed its mate; they did not seek another its companion, because the Lord commanded them, and his spirit gathered them together
And he himself will cast lots for them, and his hand has divided it for them to feed forever; for a time you will possess it; for generations of generations they will rest upon it
